President's Message
In This Issue

Dear Members,

On May 15, our chapter is holding a very special event for all members. Current ASHRAE society president, Tom Watson, plans to visit our chapter to share his vision for ASHRAE and some of his global presidential experiences. Tom is a member of our ASHRAE region (Region 3) and is a Virginia native. Our chapter is fortunate to have both in-going and out-going society president visit it in one year, with Dr. William Bahnfleth in November and Tom Watson this month. Please join me in welcoming Tom to our chapter by attending the event and sharing some of your ASHRAE questions and insight. Later this month, on Friday May 31st, we will be having our annual family night event at a York Revolution baseball game! Please mark this date on your calendar and bring your family to see the Revolution play the Long Island Ducks. The evening’s promotion will be "Back to the Future Night" featuring a "modern" 2013 York White Roses Cap Giveaway to the first 2,000 fans – so plan to arrive early!

Lastly, this month I would encourage you to vote “yes” for next year's chapter officer ballot. As we look to the future of ASHRAE’s board, I would like to pause and recognize the board who served this year. Our board of governors is made up of committed, hard working individuals whom volunteer countless hours and put in maximum effort to make our chapter better for all members. David Bender, Mike Conchilla, David Hebel, Zach Hawk, Patrick Marks, Phil Groff, Andrew Barnes, Andrew Odell, Mark Tome, Thomas Long, and Mark Graybill have all made a positive impact to our chapter over this past year and it was an honor and privilege to serve alongside of each and every one of them! If you have an opportunity next time you see any of them, please shake their hand and thank them for their service. Our ASHRAE chapter has a bright future due to our outstanding leadership team. Bravo!

Alyssa Wingenfield, President, Central PA ASHRAE
